CLASSES ARE FUN!

River City offers classes on all levels, from Beginner to Advanced. Sign up for one of our weekly beginner classes to learn the skills and tools, then perfect your skills by taking our Beginner B and C classes. From there you may advance to Intermediate classes and even Advanced Intensive workshops.

Beginner classes are generally taught on Thursday afternoons and some weekends. You may sign up for a class by clicking here and choosing a class date. A minimum of 2 students are required in each class, so you may be asked to change dates if a class doesn’t form. Would you like a special class date and time? If you have a group of at least 4 people, just drop us a line and let us know!

The price of the beginner classes is all-inclusive… there are no additional fees for tools and materials. You will spend 3-4 hours working with professional glass artists Kathryn Welch or Sondra Kretschmar, and at the end of the session you will have a completed piece to take home and display proudly.

Want to take your new skills further? Sign up for our Beginner B and C classes! We also have tools and materials for sale, and you may sign up for Advanced Open Studio hours if you need extra space to create. And as a special bonus, class participants receive a 15% discount on tools and supplies purchased on their class day (glass not included).

When you sign up for a stained glass class, you receive a 25% discount on your very own River City Glassworks apron! Just add the apron to your cart and use the coupon code APRON25 at the time of class purchase. One discounted apron per student, please.

However, if you need to cancel and have the fee refunded, there is a $20 cancellation charge.

ADVANCED OPEN STUDIO

Need space to create?

River City Glassworks offers Open Studio hours for those who have completed the beginner and intermediate classes, or who have prior stained glass experience. You get to use our inspiring studio space and have access to professional stained glass artists for consultation.

Cost: $15/hour

You may bring your own tools and materials, purchase tools and materials on-site, or rent our studio tools for a session, and enjoy working in our light and airy studio space. Regular artists may have their own 18” x 18” bin to store their supplies between work sessions.
