The element of fire, represented in stained glass. This piece measures 5" X 15" and uses a variety of high quality art glass to depict flames coming from a heart made from stunning, deep red water glass. Iridescent glass punctuates the flames, and the glass which surrounds the heart is a multi-colored, gorgeous art glass.

While contemplating the design for the fire element, Kathryn took a long walk through the woods. It occurred to her that fire can be a metaphor for what burns inside each of us. Our longings or passions. It does not have to be restricted to the physical force which burns in the natural world, but should also be seen as a force which makes each of us uniquely human. The heart is meant to represent the human side of this burning force.

A zinc frame completes the piece, and two wire loops are attached to the top for hanging.
